I just took a look at the LeeLock ones. They appear to be about β…“ longer than mine. For the price, it looks like a good buy.

Now I'm thinking about a re-design! πŸ˜‰

Good morning folks and Happy Mothers Day to all of the ladies.

I just popped a breakfast casserole in the oven to bake and grabbed a cup of coffee.

Looks like an overcast day at 61Β° is what we'll have today. Maybe a shower but at least not an all day rain.

Painting and Cooking

John, an avant-garde painter got married.

Someone asked the bride a few weeks after the wedding, "How's married life, Helen?"

"It's great," she answered. "John paints and I cook; then we try to guess what he painted and what I cooked."

Enjoy your day folks!

Just wanted to mention also, that with the oversized skeg, if there is no wind I can practically just use the MinnKota as a rudder without running the motor. If I'd have any advise on the skeg, go big!!

I'll raise my hand since I do it most of the time. I made an enlarged skeg by bending an aluminum plate in half and bending 2 tabs opposed on top. I riveted a u shaped leading edge in front and attached it with a large stainless steel clamp.

As far as the speed to run your trolling motor, I've found that I like to set the 9.9 kicker about ΒΌ mph slower than my targeted speed and then use the MinnKota with I-pilot set to the target speed on autopilot. Sometimes you'll have to run the bow faster and the kicker slower if your in higher winds, but for the most part, this is where I'd start out.

Good morning Looney Toons.
Grab a Pop-Tart and a Hug Jug of sugar water and get ready for the show!

You better grab a blanket too since it's only 41Β° outside and foggy. We may see 61Β° later today if we're lucky. Speaking of luck, it looks like the rain will be back with us by noon through the rest of the weekend.

I'll run to the local greenhouse and pick up some flowers for Mom and the Wifey this morning and then try to stay out of trouble for the rest of the day. Wish me luck with that one!

A fisherman began to drill a hole in the ice to fish when a voice called out, "You can't fish there."

He moved the drill a few feet and began to drill again and the voice repeated, "You can't fish there either."

After three more attempts he yelled, "Why can't I fish here?"

"You can't fish anywhere here, this is an ice rink."

**Bonus groan...**

Your story tells a lot about your work ethics Doug. Was Dad the source for your HVAC knowledge?

Yep! That's where it all started for which I'm thankful. I was able to learn the "Old School" methods as well as keep up with all of the current high efficiency electronics and design of today through continuous training annually. I've found that if you don't keep up on the training, you'll be left behind before you realize it.
