I lived in California growing up in S.F area north in Sonoma then went to southern Cal until 2000. fished the San Bernardino mountain lakes and the San Bernardino county parks. I know when I left in 2000 Big Bear was down about 75 feet. I have the lake record at Lake Gregory in 1995 11.5 lb Rainbow trout I haven't heard it being past. Should have a picture at the hardware store in Crestline. Well hope you do well hope to talk to you later

That's right Arizona and Hawaii don't have it. Lived in AZ for 21 years never missed it always on time because the time didn't change or miss any sleep

Hi my wife & I are recient retired have most fishing experience on Phantom in Mugwanago I have never fished Muskego we like pan fish & walleye would appreciate any hints on where to pick up some gills & crappiest thanks a bunch

Hi Big Gills I'm in the Brown Deer/Milwaukee area also new but looked at my Southern WI sportsman's connection map to the area Muskego Lake is rather shallow only 4 feet at the deepest although Bass Bay is good for panfish. Little Muskego Lake is a lot deeper up to 65 feet and that is near the dam the north end of the lake is rather shallow but looks to have a deep drop off to 10 to 20 feet. both have panfish and the Little Muskego has walleye. Hope this helps.

Lake havasu

That is as good as place as any to start the I would go down to the Parker area if nothing there I go up river to Bullhead Laughlin area or Avie casino area. then you could go east to Lake Pleasant after that I didn't much further. If you have a boat you could go up river from Lake Havasu to the gorge area heard it was good fishing, I didn't have a boat but took a ride an the jet boat from Laughlin to Havasu and got to look at all of the fishing areas while going to and back did wish I had a boat then. Hope the book will give you some ideas

Hello ladies and gentlemen. Im new here and at fishing. Ive been trying to fish in the San Bernardino Regional Parks but im having trouble catching any fish 😔 any suggestions? Right now its Catfish season and I dont know what type of bait is the best. Any suggestions? Please help 🙏

Use the most smelliest bait as in mackerel or chicken livers dipped in a bait dip on a sliding egg weight I used a 1/0 hook or sometimes bigger I have caught 3-5 lbs cats in several of the county parks.

Get there early!!! To get a good spot because the lake gets crowded early!!
I use to fish the lake you want to fish were the roads turns go up about 50 to 100ft and park walk down to the bank.
We use 18 to 24 inch leaders sliding eeg weight. We use power bait
I always used Samman color , Rainbow, yellow , green colors. And I always spray Garlic on my bait. Good luck , but get there early !!

I fished there in 1995 and caught the lake record rainbow trout 11.5 lbs while crappie fishing on 2 lb test and a 1/32 tube jig. Will look for the photo and upload it if I can Find it. As far as I know it has not be beaten. Llast time I fished there was in 1999 late in summer caught some trout on nightcrawlers and power bait.

Getting back into the fishing scene.

Any tips or info for the Colorado River?

I just left the area have fished the river in front of the casinos and Rotary park. Go during the week not as many boats and see doos on the water also I would go to lake Mohave around Katherine landing area I fished the marina area and the handicap dock. I used anchovies and night crawlers for most fish and power bait for trout. There is areas to fish by the Laughlin marina. If you want go a little farther go to Willow beach but haven't fished it for a couple of years. on the Nevada side there is a cove called Telephone cove diffidently would not fish on the weekends. If you have a boat on the river I would launch it at the Riverside casino was free last time I was there in 2021. The bullhead city park and Davis dam park cost $20.00 + I was told to launch. sorry for the book but hope this helps.
