Kinda looks like a green ling cod that I used to catch in Kodiak Alaska when you skin them they have a green tint to the meat but they turn white as you cook them and they are delicious

Sadly I knew he passed. It might have been his dads place it was many years ago when Jack passed and I don’t remember his kids names I just know we had to walk down hill to get to my boat! I also sometime would fish where the public launch is by walking out on a log and sitting in a tin shed at the end of the log do you remember seeing that

I’ve. Seen a few bass over the years but not a premier bass lake. Great trout fishing after the first few weeks of everyone and their brother being there after that the traffic slows down and launching the boat is usually quick! Been fishing there for 50+years still my favorite trout lake some big ones in their bows and browns! Good luck hope you catch all the small ones and save the big ones for us old guys 😁

I love Waitts lake so much that I bough a place there to retire to in March “counting the days” just a little place up the hill on s lake view lane! As far as the fishing rainbows and browns are in good quality I have the most success on the north west side between the resort and big house you’ll know the house when you see it! Slow troll with a silver ford fender with a 10 inch leader small hook and a piece of nightcrawler and you should have some fish in No time! When I target the browns I use white marshmallows and crawlers or mellows and shrimp floated off the bottom about 4 feet. Hope you have a good trip and catch some nice fish! Try to save some fish for me please

I drive by the ponds yesterday and no one was fishing the roofs looked like they were starting to get overgrown with bushes! I agree used to be a great place to fish with the kids but it’s been 15 years or more since I’ve fished them! Good luck the river is still good
