Old Hickory Lake, Hendersonville, TN
Went out with Aunt Linda, my sister, and brother in law for a few hours in some windy conditions but had success. Hit 2 spots, 3 largemouth bass, 2 bluegill then off for tge 10 minute run to THE spot. Arrived after passing a partially sunken boat, looking at Anchor High Marina’s replacement docks and the still closed Rockland Park (both took a direct tornado hit Dec. 8th 23). At THE spot and no bites…30 minutes nothing….I resort to the fish call…I’d recorded Nana doing her “fishy fishy call”…5 minutes later we double up on cats!! lol Aunt Linda 7lb’er and my 10lb8oz. then Bill’s 9lb15oz. Goes quiet, sister breaks out the call again and fish on lol 4 lb. All on the catfish board! Ended with 5 cats, 2 bluegill at THE spot. Great day with pics! Enjoy!!
Hit some ponds that are a decent hike and did well yesterday. Landed 5 missed 3 but hooked and landed one on a top water popper. It’s that time of year FINALLY!!! 😂
Another option is Pacifica beaches, have done incredibly well with pile worms

Baum is the bomb…had to say it! My go to is a gold Panther Martin or if using bait salmon egg or green glitter power bait. Fish the incoming water near the shack, its west of the picnic area. Also try Powerhouse #1 and upstream/downstream of the town of Cassel at the Post Office on Hat Creek. All pics are at Baum or Hat Creek.
Btw, caught 121 trout over a weekend while up at Burney last year

He’s setting up for the national spotlight, give me a break lol I’ve a house in TN I utilize in comparison. My job is here and extremely specialized hence my not in TN currently. Your house’s tax is based on time of purchase which explains being lower. Let’s also compare cost of living offsetting the “discount healthcare”. Pleased to see you drank the Koolaid too. We can’t build a reservoir yet we can pay for i******s housing, medical, food, clothing, waste 500k PER UNIT on a 100+ housing off of K Steet downtown Sac… SACRAMENTO - A Downtown Sacramento affordable housing project is planned to t***sform a historic building on K Street, at an eye-popping price.
The project will cost $50 million for fewer than 100 rooms. For comparison, the remodel costs are set to run more than triple the highest-priced home sold in Sacramento last month.
The 100-year-old Sequoia Hotel is the problem property getting an expensive t***sformation.
(I could BUILD them houses for $200k)…..a Sacramento Bee article mentions “people here wish they could pay more in taxes” are you kidding me????????
Can you say E******N YEAR??? I live here and he’s ignored every issue but now that e******ns are coming he’s in panic mode. Same Gov. who has put his head in the sand on homeless, taxes, $68 billion deficit and has the $940 you can steal at retailers without repercussions. I’m born and raised here and it’s now the Golden Stain not Golden State. Record #’s leaving, both businesses and residents who are fed up with deteriorating highways, gas and property taxes, vehicle registration (17 Ram 1500 $490 per year), trash everywhere. Once I retire I’m out of here!
Don’t forget the American River, Hat Creek, Lake Baum, Folsom Lake, the Pacific Ocean and my hike in ponds lol
I’m down to 6 with 1 being from 95….have given as birthday gifts to my parents and family….fav is the 7’ medium heavy 2 piece, landed my PB Largemouth (pic) and old PB trout not to mention tons of other species, fresh or salt….here’s a heartbreaking pic from 2021…I knew it was about that time and wanted to have it go down fighting which it did on a 2lb LM lol

This is wonderful. Thank you for posting, BassOMatic. Have you always fished with your Nana?
You’re welcome Betts!! Yes since I was 3 on Lake Havasu and any chance I had to take her and my Dad. Always camping, taking us kids to Yellowstone, Yosemite, Olympic National Park, Bishop, the Pacific Ocean and 100’s of other phenomenal places….I’ve been very fortunate. She’s the fish whisperer!! lol I have audio of her recorded on my phone just for those slow times and yes it works! Have a fantastic day and tight lines!!

The picture shows a yellow bass, they are usually very small around 8 or 10 inches, and have the yellow glow on there belly!
Exactly, great description Waterdog101. TN record is…..Class A - Sportfishing Methods
Yellow. 2 lbs 5 oz March 26, 2019
Saw, that was 1 day at White Bridge, we didn’t bother to go upstream or downstream. We lost count but over 60 fish total. Those Mt. Lassen planters get “robust” to say the least lol my favorite trout spot for 30+ years so I hear ya!!
