I hit McDonough for 6hrs today. 60° at the ramp, and water was 65° - 66.5°. Steady breeze around 8-10 mph, with a few 15 mph gusts. Started off slow with a dink Smallmouth on a Keitech swimbait. All 3 of my favorite trees had a resident Snot Rocket hanging around scaring away the Bass. All 3 were about the same size, maybe 2 lbs each. I missed several Bass on beds, but didn't find many beds anywhere. The ledges were empty, but I did catch a 2.25 lb Largemouth on a Morning Dawn Dream Shot, in a hole off the brushpile. As I completed my lap of the lake, I caught the biggest of the day. Caught a 2.5 lb Largemouth on a Watermelon/red flake Dinger, under an overhanging tree. Not a great day, but not terrible.

Its been impossible to accomplish anything outside this Spring.

58° now and a soggy high of 70°

I'll finish up some interior work today on a 3 unit install and then possibly a few service calls.

Hey Saw, I just got back from East fork carson river. Went up at 4am tuesday and nobody around. It seems they don't open the resort till around 10am. Fished all my normal areas with a Panther Martin no bites. Went to the resort to get some nite crawlers because the water was real high and fast and dirty, maybe half foot visibility. Not looking promising at this point. Phil the owner of the resort turned me on to a lure that was working prior. So I bought a couple of the smallest Outcaster slammer series lure and went to campsite #3 and caught 3 fish quickly. I was shot with the conditions. Than went to campsite #7 and started the bite slowed. So I hooked a nite crawler and first cast hooked a nice 5lb, 23in rainbow on my ultralite 6lb test. Pretty scary in those conditions. I still can't believe I landed that fish. Today the water actually looked like it rose a couple inches. No bites today on the east or west river. Good luck Saw.
