My kind of restaurant! 😂
Yep the only way to cook a steak. LOL
In San Antonio, you either go to the Little Red Barn for pepper cooked steaks very cheap for the area or for higher class. LOL
Or the Barn Door for non pepper steaks. The Little Red Barn was picnic tables and the Barn Door was round tables with 1/2 gallon salad dressings in the center. All the meals there come with a house salad.
The Barn Door has a nice parking lot but people also have to park on the street a lot of times and have to walk over. Yes, they both have lots of business for not being that easy to get to in town.
I-10 goes through the middle of San Antonio elevated and makes a bend around the Little Red Barn.
When they were putting the road through they were going to wipe out the Little Red Barn for I-10.

The little old lady that was the head of the Democratic Southern Texas Comm. Called the then Governor and told him he was NOT going to be re-elected!
"Why? What's wrong?" "Your closing my favorite Steakhouse for your stupid road!"
At the same time, The little old lady that was the head of the Republican Southern Texas Comm. Called the then Lt.Governor and told him he was NOT going to be re-elected!
"Why? What's wrong?" "Your closing my favorite Steakhouse for your stupid road!"
So I-10 makes a bend around the Little Red Barn. LOL
They use to go through about 3000 steaks a weekend.
They were cheap enough people would drive from out of town to take the family out for a Steak Dinner there.
Now the Barn Door is higher priced but still for family and business people.
The walls are covered with Business Cards. LOL
Every couple years they take them down so new ones can be pinned up.
