Well today was not yesterday. Fished the same location as yesterday. The difference was incoming tide yesterday and outgoing today . Oh, and no fish today. Brother and I each had one fish on and lost it on the way in. Such is life.

The important thing us that I know the fush are hitting light. Can't deadstick the rod. If they try they're goingvto get the bait and spit the hook. Should help in the tournament tomorrow

Had breakfast at home then stopped at the garden to check things out. The tides were wrong for an early morning session. This is a scouting trip for a club tournament tomorrow. Got out on the beach around noon. Drove out in the one town that was still open to driving on the sand. There wasn't much happening, so I went and joined my brother on a walking beach. He'd been catching fish so I threw in a bait. Got a real good fish on the line, only to have it bite the line off and get away. This was followed up by a somewhat smaller fish which I landed. Caught one m I te that early released on the way in. Scouting was successful, I'm ready for the tournament tomorrow. Here's a picture of the 31 incher i put on the beach.

Good Morning to all. Off to the beach for two days of surf fishing. Checking on the garden on the way out. Have to see what kind of damage the critters did last night.

Good morning 5/16/24

Good Morning to all this lovely, sunny day. 62* and going to 73 which makes this about as close to perfect as possible. Finishing the last of the veggie gardens today. Now all I have to do is beat off the critters. Found 8 of 9 poblano peppers eaten to the ground yesterday in one garden and the tops eaten off the snow peas in the other. Steps will be taken today. Tomorrow will be an early drive to the beach for a date with my surf rods.
