I don’t know if they still use them now, but back in the day they were welcome with open arms especially dark and stormy weather.
Thank Gordon for the beautiful pictures 👍🏽🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🐟🐟🐠🐠🐋🐋🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅🦅

A great picture (as always) and a great reminder for us to be a light to others in the storms of life.

Another great picture Gordon. We still have a bunch around here, and most of them are still functional. With all the satellite navigation these days, I doubt many use them. They are a beautiful sight at night though.

That coast line would be a disaster to ships if the light went out. Hope they have a spare bulb.

Thanks for the beautiful picture, Gordon. It reminds me of a song I used to sing during prayer time. I found a utube video
of a group singing it, that used to come to our church in Edwardsville, Kansas and hold “Camp Meetings” (before they got famous) when I was a kid in the ‘60’s. The name of the song is “The Lighthouse” and the group was “The Happy Goodmans”.
(Sam, Vestal, Howard (Happy), and Rusty).

Yes, Cam. Hutch and I have planned many a Harley ride to see various lighthouses. Saw plenty on our trip through Maine on Rt. 1, then New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Cape Breton is awesome. Think those of us who spend time on the water have a special affinity for them.
Thanks for the pic, Gordon! Brought back lots of good memories!
